We were introduced to Paul when the agent we were supposed to meet let us down at very short notice. He arranged to meet us and showed us some very nice properties but none that actually ticked all the boxes. We flew home with Paul’s promise that he would keep looking, true to his word he emailed us with details of a house "Fuente Castilla", that he thought was just what we were looking for.
We flew over (paid by Paul) and stayed at a gorgeous guest house Cortijo Las Colinas, (paid by Paul) and ended up buying the property 'Fuente Castilla' (not paid for by Paul)!
Paul has helped us through the whole process introducing us to a solicitor, opening a bank account and accompanying us to the notary. He is always at the end of the phone or happy to help via email. We couldn’t have asked for anything more and would happily recommend him to anybody thinking of taking the plunge, if you want the personal touch then look no further.

Paul took us around looking at properties over several trips until we found one in Luque in the La Subbética region of Córdoba in Andalucía. It was Paul's expertise, knowledge of the area plus personal courtesy that influenced our buying decision. We have had the house just over a year and after early retirement I have managed to reform it to our requirements and standards. Paul also introduced us to an English speaking lawyer who conducted all of the legal work for us and assisted with setting up a Spanish bank account and payment of the utilities etc.
We still retain a property in Scotland but may in the future buy a more substantial property in La Subbética. Although we are happy with what we have for now, when the time comes, Paul will be the first person we contact to help with the selling and buying.

Paul has acted above and beyond the call of duty and helped us with all aspects of Spanish life. He helped us to find a lawyer, obtain N.I.E. numbers, open a bank account, set up direct debits and even to find a builder and electrician. All this took place whilst we relaxed in the U.K.

We were not sure if the property was of sound construction as it looked in a poor state of repair. On top of that we did not speak any Spanish at all so the only alternative was to put our trust and faith in Paul. What a wise decision that was. Once we had made up our mind to purchase the property Paul took control of everything. We wanted a survey which he arranged and paid for (never had that happen to us before) and made sure all the previous owner's documents were in order (Escritura etc.) so that the transaction went as smooth as possible. He dealt with communications from our lawyer and assisted to complete various documents. It is not very often you go to a strange country, unable to speak the language and put your trust in a complete stranger. He is no longer a stranger we are pleased to say. I just wanted to thank you profusely for your highly professional advice and guidance in helping us to buy our dream home in the sun.
Before meeting you we had met other estate agents who either did not listen to what we wanted or chose to follow their own agenda and try to sell anything at any cost! You carefully selected a number of properties which fitted our wish list and our budget and spent enormous amounts of time showing us around and explaining the Spanish system of selling and buying properties. When we did eventually find "the one" (or should I say - when YOU found it) it was exactly what we had specified in our brief. We had been looking for an old farmhouse which we could restore to it's former glory----not only did you deliver this but views to die for as well. You then went on to introduce us to builders who would give us an indication of restoration costs, with no obligation to employ them at a later stage. This was of great benefit to our planning budgets for the work that we needed to undertake and helped us to make the decision to make our offer. I have to thank you too for holding our hands all the way through the complex and often frustrating completion of purchase. I think we would have lost faith in the system if it were not for your patience and determination to make sure that we had all the paperwork in order.
We are now at the stage where we are looking forward to moving permanently to Spain and spending our retirement in beautiful Rute and looking forward also to meeting up with you for a beer and tapas in Córdoba.
